I'm Patrick Southern, a New York-based production sound mixer, designer, and post-sound mixer. A proud member of IATSE Local 52, I began my career in music production, co-founding Spaceman Sound, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2010. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients on projects ranging from network television, documentaries, to commercial and industrial video. My experience has allowed me to record music in addition to scripted dialogue, and I delight in doing so in unusual or challenging locations.

My ethos and work ethic on set have allowed me to consistently provide high-quality sound recording services, while never standing in the way of an actor's performance. I believe that production sound is an art, and that capturing authentic performances, wherever they might take place, is key to elevating any motion picture project.

As a post sound mixer, I've focused on boutique commercial clients as well as short form-narrative work. I look forward to expanding my clientele and welcome you to reach out.
